While one of the most famous bedtime Christmas stories keeps
children in line trying to get their name on Santa’s ‘nice’ list, celebrities
from around the world have ensured their names go on the ‘naughty’ list.

Yes, we are talking about the ‘Elf on the Shelf’ tradition,
a story where Santa’s elves pop up around the holiday season keeping an eye on
children, reporting back to Santa, and coming back the next day perching on a
whole new spot, waiting for kids to find them.

Celebrities added a goofy twist to this holiday tradition as
they moulded the ‘elf on shelf’ to ‘celebrity on celebrity’ putting their
rhyming skills to test.

The updated tradition began when ‘The Jamie Foxx Show’ starrer
Garcelle Beauvais posted a snap on Instagram.

This snap didn’t take long
to turn into a viral meme and many celebrities followed.

‘Charlie’s Angels’ director Elizabeth Banks added to the humour with her ‘Hanks on Banks’ featuring ‘Forrest Gump’ actor Tom Hanks.

‘Legally Blonde’ actor Reese Witherspoon raised
the stakes her goofy ‘Grease on Reese’ post.

Marvel universe’s ‘Hulk’, Mark Ruffalo can’t seem to bid goodbye to Marvel as he upped the ante with his ‘Stark on Mark’ caption.

‘Quantico’ starrer Priyanka Chopra Jonas couldn’t bear not being part of this new trend as she tweaked the ‘Elf on Shelf’ trend with her ‘Oprah on Chopra’.

The meme invites more attention as the holiday season approaches.
