A 9-year-old girl in Gwalior on Sunday played her piano throughout a
brain tumour operation, which the doctor stated the operation to be ‘challenging’,
news agency ANI reported.
Soumya, who went through the long operation, says she feels ‘better
now’.

“I played the piano for at least 6 hours, I also played mobile games,” ANI further quoted the girl as saying.
For the doctor, however, the process was arduous and challenging, as
he pointed out the chances the team took while conducting the surgery.
“When we were operating
we asked her to play the piano. There were chances for the child to slip into
paralysis but she was conscious throughout the operation”, Abhishek Chauhan,
Neurosurgeon at the Birla hospital in Gwalior, was quoted as saying by ANI.

According to Chauhan, in spite of the situation
being critical and the case challenging, the team’s effort was instrumental in
the process being successful.
