Sensex fell 12.27 points or 0.02% to 61,223.03 and Nifty was down by 2.05 points or 0.01% to 18,255.75 in the previous session. Sensex touched high and low of 61,324.59 and 60,757.03, respectively and there were 12 stocks advancing against 18 stocks declining on the index while Nifty traded in a range of 18,286.95 and 18,119.65 and there were 20 stocks advancing against 30 stocks declining on the index.

Ruby Mills, Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation, Coffee Day Enterprises, Manaksia Steels, Kothari Petrochemicals, Vishal Fabrics, Jindal Worldwide, Cosmo Films, Gokaldas Exports and Macpower CNC Machines have made fresh 52 weeks high on Friday.

BCPL Railway Infrastructure has recently announced that it has secured an order for the supply and installation of a smart energy meter from the West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Limited (WEBEL).

Onward Technologies has announced its results for the third quarter of the financial year 2021-22. It has recorded 33.74 per cent YoY growth in Q3FY22 with revenues of Rs 77.3 crore.

Tata Consumer Products shares rose nearly 5% in Friday’s trading session as investors predict that the company will report robust earnings for the quarter ended December 31, 2021, and on optimism for its coffee retail business.

Motherson Sumi Systems shares dropped 20% on the NSE on Friday. The board of auto parts maker has fixed the record date for the scheme of arrangement as Monday, January 17. 

63MOONS, ADROITINFO, AJMERA, AKSHOPTFBR, and ALKALI hit the upper price band while 21STCENMGM, 3PLAND, A2ZINFRA, ADL, and AGRITECH hit the lower price band. There were 152 securities that hit the upper band while 103 hit the lower band on January 14, 2022.
