Amroha assembly constituency has Mehboob Ali of the Samajwadi Party (SP) taking on Ram Singh Saini of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Mohammad Nawed Ayaaz of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) this year in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.

Mehboob Ali had won the Amroha seat in 2017, though the BJP swept Uttar Pradesh winning 312 of UP’s 403 assembly seats. Ali had beaten his closest rival Naushad Ali by a margin of 15,042 votes. Naushad Ali had contested that election on a BSP ticket.
