At least 14 scientists from
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and Banaras Hindu University (BHU) have
made it to the list of Stanford University’s top 2% scientists.

The prestigious US-based
institute has recently released a list that represents the 2% of the top
most-cited scientists in various disciplines. The comprehensive list has around
1,59,683 persons with nearly 1,500 scientists, doctors and engineers in India.

“The list includes
the name of 14 professors of Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu
University). All these have been selected on the basis of their research
paper’s international evaluation,” PTI quoted, IIT BHU Director Pramod
Kumar Jain as saying.

The fourteen faculty members
bestowed with the honor include

1.     Rajiv Prakash, Dean (Research and Development)

2.     Pralaya Maiti  (Material
Science and Technology)

3.     Yogesh Chandra Sharma (Chemistry Department)

4.     Brahmeshwar Mishra (Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology)

5.     Sanjay Singh (Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology)

6.     
SK Singh (Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology)

7.     MS Muthu (Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology)

8.     Devendra Kumar  (Ceramic Engineering)

9.     Subir Das (Mathematical Sciences)

10.   Rakesh Kumar Singh (Physics)

11.   Zahra Sarkar (Mechanical Department)

12.  Om Prakash

13.  PC Pandey (Chemistry Department)

14.  Dhananjay Pandey (Material Science and Technology)

The list also carries name of 22
faculty members and researchers from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT),
Guwahati.
