More than 13 lakh students are waiting for the results of BSEB Board class 12 and 10 exams. The results are expected to be out before the Hindu festival Holi. The board is yet to finalise the exact date of the results declaration but are working towards announcing it soon.

The board has finished the evaluation process and is currently verifying the toppers and other announcements. Last year as well, Bihar board was the first board in India to announce the board exam results. BSEB conducted the exams much earlier than other boards this year as well- in the times when most have postponed the exams due to the pandemic.

BSEB stated earlier that they checked more than 73 lakh answer sheets in just 28 days. The exams for Bihar board concluded on February 13. 

The board has upgraded its evaluation process with high-tech system including embedding OMR codes on answer booklets and setting up a data centre to store academic records among other upgrades. 

In this process, they made half of the board exams an multiple choice question- based paper. The answer sheets for both class 10th and 12th have been released and the appeal system to raise any objections have been closed as well.

In a first, this year, the board offered alternative option for every question in the exams. The entire academic session of previous year was held online as schools remained shut due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The students need to score a minimum of 33% marks to pass the Bihar board exams. In case, a student fails to achieve 33% in the main subject then marks of additional subject will be counted if the student passes in that.
