The Indian film industry is coming together in support of Akshay Kumar in his hour of grief as the iconic Bollywood actor deals with the passing of his mother Aruna Bhatia.
Ajay Devgn, who’s worked with Akshay Kumar on various occasions, was one of the first ones to share his condolences with Kumar and his family.
Nimrat Kaur, who worked as the main lead alongside Akshay Kumar in Airlift, also shared her prayers for Aruna Bhatia.
Actor Rakulpreet Singh, movie critic Taran Adarsh and many of Akshay Kumar’s supporters also shared their heartfelt sympathies with Akshay Kumar.
More actors like Huma S Qureshi, Parineeti Chopra and cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir also expressed their pain over Akshay Kumar’s loss.

“Sending you prayers and peace Sir. Om Shanti,” Qureshi’s post read on Twitter.
Parineeti Chopra also took to Twitter saying, “Sorry to hear about aunty Akshay sir .. We are praying for her and the entire family @akshaykumar.”

Earlier, Akshay Kumar announced the demise of his mother, expressing the “unbearable pain” he was going through.
Aruna Bhatia was an Indian film producer with movies like Ram Setu and Sooryavanshi under her name.

She had been unwell over the last few days and wasn’t seen publicly for some time due to health issues
Aruna Bhatia and her husband Hari Om Bhatia initially lived in Punjab’s Amritsar, where Akshay Kumar was born. Hari Om Bhatia was an army officer who enjoyed wrestling. From Punjab, the family shifted to Delhi’s Chandni Chowk and later to Mumbai, where Aruna gave birth to a daughter. Aruna Bhatia lost her husband in 2000.
