With late actor Chadwick Boseman being posthumously awarded with the
Actor Tribute Honour at the Gotham Awards on Monday, the wife of the celebrated
actor, Simone Ledward Boseman, talked about the Black Panther star in a moving
tribute.

Highlighting Boseman’s proximity to truth, she noted that it is a
rather difficult task to live in line with the truth, but in case of one not living
in truth, then it leads to purposelessness.

“He was the most honest person I’d ever met because he didn’t
just stop at speaking the truth: he actively searched for it in himself and
those around him and in the moment,” she was quoted as saying, according
to various media reports.

Ledward Boseman described that for her to be receiving the award was
an “acknowledgment not only of his profound work but of his impact on this
industry and this world”.

Rainy’ Black Bottom, which ultimately was won by Riz Ahmed for Sound of Metal.
