Delhi government on Friday released a circular directing all
schools to remain closed till September 30. The circular also mentioned that “students
of classes 9 to 12 may be permitted to visit their schools, in areas outside
containment zones only, on a voluntary basis, for taking guidance from their
teachers”.

However, students visiting their schools outside containment
zones will be subjected to the written consent of their parents/guardians and
will be permitted with effect from September 21. The SOP for which will be
issued by the Health Ministry to be followed by the schools.

“Online/distance learning shall continue to be permitted and
shall be continued,” the circular also added.

“With effect from September 21, 2020, 50% of teaching and
non-teaching staff to be called to schools at a time for online
teaching/tele-counselling and related work, in areas outside the Containment Zones
only,” the circular further added.

Earlier on 29 August, the Centre issued the guidelines for
Unlock 4, which will be effect till September 30.

According to the guidelines, metro rail will be allowed to
operate from September 7 in a graded manner.

After the outbreak of coronavirus in India, Prime Minister
Narendra Modi announced a nationwide lockdown from March 25. The phased
reopening of activities started in the country from June 1.
