While addressing an election rally on Wednesday in Bihar’s Darbhanga, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said after years of struggle, the construction of a grand temple in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya has begun, ANI reported.

“Those in politics who time and again asked us the date are out of compulsion, clapping for us,” Modi quipped.

“Coming to this land of Maa Sita, I want to congratulate you all as you’re primarily entitled to it,” the Prime Minister said, adding that it is the identity of the BJP and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) that “we do what we promise.”

Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar was present at PM’s campaign address.

JD(U) is a part of the BJP-led NDA.

Hitting out at the Opposition, Modi said, “People of Bihar have taken a resolve to again defeat those who brought ‘jungle raj’ in the state, those who looted Bihar.”

“These are the people under whose government crime was rampant in the state,” the Prime Minister said.

The NDA government is committed to the development of Bihar, the BJP leader said, telling them to beware “beware of those greedily eyeing funds meant for state’s welfare,” PTI reported.

Polling for Phase I in the Bihar Assembly election is underway on Wednesday.

” I would like to request everyone to follow all precautionary measures against,” Modi said.

“I pray for the speedy recovery of everyone who has been infected with the disease,” the PM added.
