Former Indian cricketer Yusuf Pathan tested positive for COVID-19, he said on Saturday and is currently in home isolation. India cricket great Sachin Tendulkar said the same day that he had contracted the novel coronavirus.
The 38-year-old all-rounder took to Twitter to inform that he tested positive for COVID-19 and had mild symptoms. The cricketer is currently under home isolation and has requested all those who have met him in recent days to get tested as soon as possible.

Recently, both Tendulkar and Pathan flew to Raipur to play for India Legends in the Road Safety World Series. India Legends defeated Sri Lanka Legends in the final match of the tournament and lifted the Road Safety World Series trophy.

The COVID-19 cases have been surging to new highs in the past few days. Maharashtra has recorded the highest number of cases in the country and its capital Mumbai has recorded more than 390,000 virus cases.
