President Donald Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., has made his predictions on the outcome of the keenly-contested Presidential Election in the United States.

As election day dawned on the nation, Trump Jr. took to Twitter to express confidence in a victory for his father, sharing a picture of a world map with most countries painted red, the colours of the Republican Party.

“Okay, finally got around to making my electoral map prediction,” he wrote in the caption.

Notably, India, which his father has come to develop a strong bilateral relationship with, along with a friendship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was marked in blue, the colours of the Democratic Party.

Trump Jr. had earlier said a Biden administration will not be good for India, saying the former vice president will be soft on China.

The other countries to be marked in blue are Sri Lanka, China – which Trump has antagonised throughout his four-year term as President and has pledged to hold responsible for the global outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic – Liberia, and Mexico.

The states of California and New York are also marked in blue.

National polls in the country continue to favour Biden for taking over the presidency from Trump, although the latter can still spring a surprise, like he did in 2016 and hold on to the White House for another four years.
