Rohit Sharma was on-point with his DRS calls against Australia in the first T20I. Two umpire decisions in one over were overturned and the Indian skipper was visibly baffled. 

Chasing 209 runs, Australia were cruising at 122/2 in the 12th over. The required run rate was under control. Steve Smith was leading the visiting team’s batting efforts.

Pacer Umesh Yadav was brought into the attack for the 13th over. The 34-year-old was smashed for a boundary and a maximum in the first two deliveries. The pressure was on. 

On the third ball of the over, Yadav went full to Smith. The batter was moving across the crease and improvise for a open-batted shot towards third man. However, the bowler followed him. The ball found a nick and wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik took the catch.

However, the umpire did not raise his finger. The crowd was roaring and Rohit Sharma and co were stunned. They went for a review almost immediately. The decision was overturned. 

On the sixth ball of the same over, the umpire gave another wrong decision. Yadav delivered a short and slow ball to new batter Glenn Maxwell, who tried to make room and slash it. He got a top-edge and DK took a diving catch. DRS saved India for the second time within three balls.

From cruising at 122/2, Australia, in no time, were reduced to 123/4. Steve Smith made 35 runs in 24 balls. Glenn Maxwell made one. 

Australia bounced back in the death overs and chased the total down with four balls to spare. Matthew Wade remained unbeaten at 45 off 21 balls.
