In the Eliminator, Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets on Friday.
After losing Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal early, Royal Challengers Bangalore could only manage 131/7.
However, Sunrisers chased it down losing four wickets and with only two balls left. With a 44-ball 50, Williamson starred for the Hyderabad side. He was Jason Holder who chipped in with 24 runs and hit the winning runs.
Earlier in RCB’s innings, AB de Villiers top-scored with 56 runs off 43 balls, before being castled by T Natarajan with a smoking yorker.
Even with the willow, Holder was instrumental for SRH with figures of 4-0-25-3. He scalped the wickets of Kohli and Padikkal early into the innings.
Sunrisers will now face Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 2 and RCB will sadly have to bid adieu to the IPL yet again.
