Shiv Sena said on Thursday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would ‘grow bigger’ in stature in case of scraping the farm laws, which have prompted the protests since November. The Supreme Court, previously on Tuesday, stayed the implementation of the three controversial farm laws in the face of a slew of petitions challenging the legal validity of the laws, with the apex court further forming a four-member committee to carry out discussion between the farmers and the government. The committee has been tasked with holding the first meeting within 10 day and submitting recommendations within two months from the day of meeting. The farmers, on the other hand, burnt copies of the farm bills as part of their protests on Wednesday in border points of Delhi such as Singhu and Tikri. Several protesting farmers celebrated Lohri in Noida on Wednesday.
