Gold prices decreased in international markets on March 11, levelling out following a tumultuous session, as investors reviewed the circumstances surrounding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and sanctions imposed on Moscow.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) decreased marginally on Friday, March 11, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 52,920.00 per 10 gm, down 319 points or 0.6%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 70,102.00 per kg, down 369 points or 0.52%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,983.97 per oz. Platinum was trading at $1,060.13 while palladium was trading at $2,924.66.

In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 51,610 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 69,815 per kg on Thursday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.  

Copper futures were trading at Rs 811.80 up 0.54% while Nickel and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 2,795.30 and Rs 283.30 per Kg respectively on MCX.

The 10 grams of 22-carat gold in Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata is being sold at Rs 48,200. While in Chennai, the same amount of the precious yellow metal is priced at Rs 48,850, according to goodreturns.

The price of 24-carat gold, 10 grams of it is being sold in New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata at Rs 52,580. The same quantity of 24-carat purity is valued at Rs 53,290, today in Chennai.

In Kerala, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is being procured at Rs 48,200. Likewise, in cities including Vijayawada, Mysore and Bhubaneshwar, 10 grams of 22-carat purity is also rated at Rs 48,200. However, the same quantity of 24-carat gold in all the above regions is being traded at Rs 52,580.

In Ahmedabad, Pune and Vadodara, 10 grams of 22-carat gold are being sold at Rs 48,240, Rs 48,250 and Rs 48,280, respectively. Whereas, the same amount of 24-carat purity is valued at Rs 52,630 in Pune, Rs 52,660 in Vadodara and Rs 52,620 in Ahmedabad, today.

In Chandigarh, Surat and Nashik, 10 grams of 22-carat gold are being traded at Rs 48,350, Rs 48,240 and Rs 48,250, respectively. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 24-carat purity is being sold at Rs 52,730 in Chandigarh, Rs 52,620 in Surat and Rs 52,630 in Nashik.
