income in pandemic like COVID-19, actor Sonu Sood deserves all applauds for his humanitarian works. However his reel life, that involves
more than 60 films across six different languages, is more about creating hate
and anguish in the hearts of many with his villainous roles in films like
Salman Khan starrer ‘Dabangg’ , Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘R… Rajkumar’ or Ranveer
Singh starrer ‘Simmba’ .
As the actor turns 48 today, let’s take a look at some of his popular roles in which we loved him for

Singh Is Kinng: This 2008
released film had Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead role with Sonu
playing the villain who engages in extorting money from the people. The film did great at
box-office and so did Sonu’s turban look.
Arundhati: This 2009
released horror film was a story about a queen battling off an evil mystic
force. Directed by Kodi Ramakrishna, the film starred popular South
actress Anushka Shetty along with Sonu Sood who
played the role of antagonist Pasupathi and got accolades for it too.
Dabangg : The actor played
the role of villain Chedi Singh in this 2010 released film and what caught
the fancy of the moviegoers was his chiseled body and the humorous twist that
he displayed so beautifully that even the leading star of the movie Salman Khan
had to take a backseat in some of the scenes.
R…Rajkumar: In this 2013 released film, Sonu portrayed
the role of drug baron Shivraj Gujjar who could go to any extent to get
beautiful chanda (played by Sonakshi Sinha) in his life. You have hardly seen such a good looking
villain on big screen before.
Simmba: This 2018 released action-dram film directed
by Rohit Shetty and starring the macho man of Bollywood Ranveer Singh, also had Sonu Sood playing bad man Durva Ranade in the film and he equally took the limelight like the positive characters of the movie.
