Bollywood actor Salman Khan walked the middle path on Thursday when asked about the farmers’ protests that saw many of his industry colleagues lend weight to a pushback against tweets by international celebrities.
In the recent video posted by Viral Bhayani, a reporter asked Salman Khan about his views on the farmers’ protests to which he replied, “The right thing should be done. The most correct thing should be done. The most noble thing should be done.”
Since the month of November, thousands of farmers from Punjab, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh, have been protesting at Delhi’s borders demanding the repeal of three new farm laws, which they believe will leave them at the beck and call of corporates.

The government has failed to end the protest after many rounds of talks resulting in clashes in parts of Delhi between protesters and the police on Republic Day last month, after making efforts to have the farmers removed or have their access to information and supporters cut off in a crackdown.
This was followed by an internet shut down, injuries and a tweet from the international pop-star, Rihanna.
