India is gearing up to celebrate its 75th Independence Day with pomp and splendor on Sunday. As the celebration are being held amid the COVID-19 pandemic, security arrangements including extra precautionary and preventive measures against the coronavirus have been put in place across the country. On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that August 14 will be observed as Partition Horrors Remembrance Day in memory of the struggles and sacrifices of people.
