Several Indian athletes were seen in action on Day 4 of the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Bhavani Devi, the first-ever Indian fencer to qualify for the Olympics, lost to France’s Manon Brunet while Indian table tennis player Manika Batra in the women’s singles third round. One of the most notable moments of day 4 was 13-year-old Japanese skateboarder Momiji Nishiya becoming one of the world’s youngest individual Olympic champions in history. Another highlight was the Philippines’ Hidilyn Diaz becoming the island country’s first-ever Olympic gold medalist.
