Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja on Monday played
a key role in the squad’s match against Rajasthan Royals, picking up two
wickets and taking four catches to ensure dismissals of a large portion of the
RR batting order. Jadeja sent back Jos Buttler at 49, right when the England
batsman began to pick up pace and set himself up for a big innings, stunting
the RR innings itself at a score of 143.

Apart from Buttler, top order batsmen Manan Vohra (14) and
Riyan Parag (3), both explosive bats for the Royals, were caught by Jadeja, who
is known largely as one of the best fielders in the CSK squad.

The celebration that really caught the eye and got the fans
going, however, came after Jadeja picked up Jaydev Unadkat’s catch near the boundary
ropes, proceeding to show four fingers, possibly indicating the total of four
catches in the game. Then he was seen making a gesture of calling someone.

While fans were unsure what the latter meant, they sure
seemed to enjoy it.

“Jadeja had such a tiring day on the field, first all the
running with Dhoni, then the 2 big wickets, 4 huge catches, and constant
running on the field. So he was calling an ambulance on the phone, but not for
him but for the deeply hurt Rajasthan Royals”, joked a user.

“There was a time I got a feeling Jadeja was stopping every
ball on the boundary line. #CSKvRR”, said another.
