England all-rounder Ben Stokes
posted a picture on Instagram on Wednesday in an apparent attempt towards a friendly
banter. Having been recently selected
as one of the most impactful all-rounders in the last decade and honoured as so
by the International Cricket Council (ICC), Stokes was included in the team of
the decade in both Test and ODI format. The English cricketer shared two pictures of himself on
Instagram on Wednesday, wearing the two caps meant for each format.

Looking content in the
first picture in the blue-coloured ODI cap, Stokes made a little quip in the
second, however, making an exasperated face wearing a cap that roughly looks
similar to the ‘Baggy Green’ famously worn by England’s long-time rivals,
Australia.

“Very proud of both these
cap’s, one of them just doesn’t seem right, it’s a bit BAGGY and GREEN”, Stokes captioned
the image on Instagram.

ICC, on Twitter, put up a
jestingly apologetic “Sorry” with a laughing emoji in response to the original
post.

Seemingly wanting a piece
of the cake, former Aussie batsman and current Director of Durham Cricket,
Marcus North, directed a slight lick back to the Englishman, saying, “Baggy
Green suits you mate!”, with a winking emoji.

Stokes has been one of
the best all-rounders for England in recent times, with 4,428 runs coming from
67 Test matches in an average of 37.84, as well as picking up 158 wickets. In ODIs,
on the other hand, the New Zealand-born has scored 2682 runs so far alongside
70 wickets in 95 matches.
