Hagia Sophia officially known as the Holy Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque is a Late Antique place of worship in Istanbul. It was designed by the Greek geometers Isidore of Miletus and Anthemius of Tralles. After the Fall of Constantinople in 1453, it was converted into a mosque. The secular Turkish Republic established it as a museum in 1935 and was opened as a mosque in 2020.
