One of India’s most versatile performers, Dhanush has built a name for himself in Tamil cinema as well as Hindi films. He has delivered hits like Ranjhanaa and his recent Hollywood debut, “The Gray Man” received acclaim from all around the world.

Dhanush’s career as a singer dates back to 2011 when his well-known song “Why This Kolaveri Di” first gained worldwide attention. After ten years, the satirical song finds itself the focus of a debate. It was claimed that the actor stole the song from a Turkish advertisement. In addition to the song, he has other songs to his credit as a vocalist.

Pudhukottaiyilirundhu Saravanan’s composer, Yuvan Shankar Raja, initially introduced Dhanush to the role of a playback vocalist. In Selvaraghavan’s film Pudhupettai, the pair worked together once again.

1. Po Indru Neeyaga

Po Indru Neeyaga is a Tamil song that was written and sung by Dhanush and Anirudh Ravichander, who also directed it. 2014 saw the release of Po Indru Neeyaga, which is from the album Velaiyilla Pattathari.

2. Idhazhin Oram

Ajeesh, Anirudh Ravichander, and Dhanush sang the song, which is from the Tamil film 3 (Moonu), which came out in 2012. The music was composed by Aishwarya R. Dhanush and was directed by Anirudh Ravichander.

3. Rowdy Baby

“Rowdy Baby Song” is a catchy Tamil song that will have you moving to its beats. This song is from the action comedy Maari 2, which also stars Krishna, Tovino Thomas, Sai Pallavi, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Vidya Pradeep in key parts. Dhanush plays the title character.

4. Why This Kolaveri Di?

The song “Kolaveri di,” from the Tamil film “3,” was sung by Dhanush, which quickly gained him popularity online. Even decades later, there are still revelations over the song’s being plagiarised. 

5. Polladha Ulagam

The song Polladha Ulagam is from the latest action-thriller Tamil film Maaran. which stars Malavika Mohanan and Dhanush. Karthick Naren is the music video director. The song was sung by Dhanush and Arivu. Vivek wrote the song’s lyrics.
