Kshitij Ravi Prasad, an executive producer, was arrested on Saturday by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection to the ongoing drug-angle probe linked to the death of the actor Sushant Singh Rajput, reported ANI quoting Mutha Ashok Jain, Deputy DG, South-Western Region, NCB.

He added statements of Karishma Prakash, Sara Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Shraddha Kapoor have been recorded. “No fresh summon has been issued today. We have arrested more than 18 people so far,” said Jain.

Earlier, NCB officials took Kshitij Ravi Prasad for medical examination as a part of formalities before his arrest.

Prasad’s WhatsApp chats included conversations about drugs with one ‘D’ and the central agency wanted to find out who this person was, NCB sources had said earlier.

There were reports suggesting a close link between Kshitij Ravi Prasad and Karan Johar. However, Bollywood producer Karan Johar on Friday said media reports of Kshijit Prasad and Anubhav Sinha being his ‘close aides’ are false.

“Neither I, nor Dharma Productions can be made responsible for what people do in their personal lives. These allegations do not pertain to Dharma Productions,” Johar’s statement read.
