Veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader LK Advani, who led Ram Mandir movement for 2 decades,  will attend Ram mandir ‘bhumi pujan’ via video link. Another senior leader Murli Manohar Joshi is also likely to witness the event via video conferencing. The decision has been taken due to health concerns, news agency ANI reported quoting sources.

Both Advani and Joshi have been associated with the Ram temple movement since the beginning.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on Wednesday. Only 175 people have been invited for the ceremony in view of the social distancing norms due to the coronavirus outbreak. RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and a few Union Cabinet ministers will be attending the event in Ayodhya which has been turned into a fortress for the ceremony.

The construction work of Ram temple is slated to begin soon after foundation stone laying and likely to be completed within three years.
