Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s Bandra residence
Matoshree, has reportedly received two threat calls on the landline on Sunday,
reported ANI. As per reports, the caller said that he was calling on the behalf
of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, and
wanted to speak to the CM.

The Mumbai police have
tightened the security outside the Chief Minister’s residence after the calls.
Speaking on the same, Mumbai police told ANI that they are trying to locate the
caller.

The Maharashtra CMO, in a statement quoted by ANI, said that the issue of threat to CM’s residence “was discussed in today’s Cabinet meeting”.

“Everyone was of the view that it’s a serious issue & Centre should also look into it. Home Minister Anil Deshmukh told the State Cabinet that police has started the investigation,” the statement added.
