Cristiano Ronaldo finalised his return to Manchester United days
before the closing of the summer transfer window. The transfer sent shockwaves
throughout England and the country is buzzing to see Ronaldo on the pitch
again. This year’s transfer window has arguably been the most enthralling one
of recent times and Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t the only one to change sides. Lionel
Messi and Sergio Ramos made shocking moves to Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
The Portugese established himself as a club legend in his
first spell at Old Trafford which ended in 2009. He returns after 12 years
looking to emulate his success donning the Red’s jersey. This could be the
final club switch for Ronaldo who is in the twilight of a stellar footballing

United had struggled to fill the hole left by Ronaldo ever
since his move to Real Madrid. No other player who has donned the number 7

Manchester United last won a trophy in May 2017 (UEFA Europa
League) and it’s been a decade since they got their hands on the Premier League
title. Despite having one of the best squads in world football United have
failed to gather silverware.

The fans would be hoping that Ronaldo is the missing piece of
the puzzle. He could be the key to instilling a winning mentality in team full
of youngsters. The world is expecting Mr. Champions League to make United
serious contenders for the biggest European title again.
In his last spell for the club Ronaldo managed to score 118
goals in 292 appearances. Since then, he has evolved from a playmaker to an out
and out striker. It would be interesting to see him perform a new role in the
side.
