signing Cristiano Ronaldo will step on the at Old Trafford donning the Red

The fans are excited to watch their new number seven in
action and Ole Gunner Solskjaer has dropped some hints in his pre-match
interview:

“He’s [Ronaldo] been
having a good pre-season with Juventus, he’s played for the national team. He’s
had a good week with us here and he’ll definitely be on the pitch [against
Newcastle] at some point, that’s for sure.”

United play Newcastle at
home tomorrow. It goes without saying that as soon as the starting line-up is
out, all eyes would be looking for one name. Cristiano has been busy breaking
records on international duty. He became the top international scorer in men’s
football, striking twice against the Republic of Ireland in World Cup qualifying
matches
on Wednesday.

Solskjaer added “What
he [Ronaldo] has developed at Real Madrid has impressed us all. He is one of
the best in the air, he still hits the target 99 out of 100 times when he
shoots from outside the box as well.”

Ole is hoping for his best
striker to start on a high note. It remains to be seen who will have to
sacrifice their place in the starting 11 to accommodate Cristiano but the most
likely option seems Mason Greenwood.

“He [Ronaldo] knows
I’ve got to make the decisions when to play, when not to play, it’s my job to
manage him and get the best out of him, I wanna see the best out of Cristiano
and that comes from communication.” – Solskjaer

The duo of Ronaldo and Ole
will be hoping to imitate the success they achieved as teammates at Old
Trafford. While reminiscing his playing days Solskjaer added “We spent a
few years together at the club, we know each other, he doesn’t need me to tell
him what to do, he’s already had determination and desire to be the best and
he’s the one I’ve seen that’s prepared and taken steps he needed to.”
