On September 16, India will observe National Cinema Day. On this one-day event, all Cinema halls will charge a nominal and uniform price of just Rs 75. This pricing will be applicable on regular theatres as well as multiplex including the likes of INOX, PVR, Cinepolis, Carnival, M2K, Wave, Asian, and more across the nation.
This one-day promotion will be available in over 4,000 theatres. This is one way to encourage people to go to the movies and watch movies on the big screen. This weekend marks National Cinema Day in the United States, and tickets will be available for purchase.

The Multiplex Association of India has announced that on September 16th, Friday, all participating cinemas with 4000+ screens will charge Rs 75 per ticket per person to commemorate National Cinema Day in India. National Cinema Day is being held to commemorate the successful reopening of cinemas and to express gratitude to the moviegoers who helped make this happen by supporting the industry during the pandemic and lockdown.
This programme is primarily for moviegoers who haven’t returned to a nearby theatre yet. This year, Indian films have performed well, and in the most recent quarter, remarkable numbers were reported by theatre operators thanks to popular international and domestic films that appealed to the Indian public.

KGF: Chapter 2, RRR, Vikram, Bhool Bhulaiya 2, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Top Gun: Maverick are among the biggest blockbusters in 2022. In early September, films such as Spider-Man: No Way Home The Extended Version are in theatres, and next week, the much-anticipated Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, will be released. On September 16th, interested parties in India will be able to watch these films for just Rs 75.
It is also important to note that there will be additional fees, including tax and fees, if you order tickets online through BMS or PayTM. Only tickets bought offline are subject to the additional charge of Rs 75.
