Aryan Khan, 23, was

people, including Aryan Khan’s friend Arbaaz Merchant, were arrested during the
raids.

Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun
Dhamecha will remain in judicial custody for now. Khan and Merchant are lodged
in the Arthur Road prison while Munmun Dhamecha is lodged at the Byculla
women’s prison.

Aryan
Khan and the others have been booked for offences under Sections 8(c), 20(b),
27, 28, 29 and 35 of the NDPS Act.

On Wednesday
morning, ahead of the bail orders being issued, the NCB submitted conversations
between Aryan Khan and an up-and-coming Bollywood actress. The chats, news
outlets say, pertain to discussions on the subject of drugs. The NCB has
further said that online conversations between Aryan Khan and some “drug
peddlers” have also been submitted in court.

The anti-narcotics
agency has consistently harped on Aryan Khan’s WhatsApp chats while opposing
his bail. To this, Aryan Khan’s lawyer Amit Desai has told the court that the chats
that the NCB is heavily relying on can often appear suspicious because of the language
youngsters use.
