Argentina and France will face off on Sunday for the right to host the FIFA World Cup 2022, the ultimate prize after 63 games and a month of exhilarating action on the field.
After defeating Croatia 3-0 in the round of 16, La Albiceleste, driven by their talismanic forward Lionel Messi, advanced to the championship game. In the meantime, France is prepared to defend its championship after Morocco was unable to score in the semifinal.
There was a brief closing ceremony before the game began at 8:30 IST, in which Nora Fatehi performed. In the video shown below, Fatehi is seen waving the Indian flag on stage at the Lusail Stadium.
FIFA announced the official artist lineup for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 closing ceremony, dispelling rumours that Shakira was going to perform there.

The national federation of the champion football team will get $42 million in prize money. The losing team in the final between France and Argentina on Sunday will receive $30 million from a $440 million reward pool put aside by FIFA. When France won the World Cup in 2018, $38 million from FIFA’s $400 million prize fund went to the nation’s association.
