Puerto-Rican singer
Juan Carlos Ozuna Rosado, who famously
goes by his surname Ozuna, has been confirmed to perform at the 2022 World up
closing ceremony as announced by FIFA on Thursday, December 15. The performance will take place before the Argentina vs France final.

The event, on Sunday,
December 18, will take place at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar, hosting the final
match of this year’s World Cup, between Argentina and France.

Net Worth

Ozuna has a net worth of $15 million as of 2022.

Family

Ozuna was born in San Juan to a Dominican father and a
Puerto Rican mother. In his eponymous opening track from his album Odisea, he stated that he grew up in a poor family and was raised mostly by his paternal grandmother. His father worked as a dancer for American rapper Vico C, and was fatally shot when Ozuna was three years old. His mother was not financially stable to raise him. 

He is married to Taina Marie Meléndez. They have two
children, Sofía and Jacob Andrés.

FIFA World Cup closing ceremony performance

Ozuna will be
performing at the 2022 FIFA World Cup closing ceremony along with artists Davido,
Aisha, Nora Fatehi, Rahma Riad, Gims, and others.

His song, Arhbo, which is part of the official soundtrack of
the FIFA World Cup was released in August this year. The song is in collaboration with French-Congolese rapper Gims and is named after the local slang word for the term ‘welcome’ in Qatar, which ‘perfectly embodies the welcoming spirit’ of the country hosting the event this year.

The song Arhbo hit No. 1 on the Billboard Latin Airplay chart on December 17 after reaching the top 10 in the chart last week. The song marked Gims’ first No. 1 title on any U.S. chart.
