Ahead of the third phase of the Bihar poll, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote a letter addressing the people of Bihar, urging the voters to re-elect Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, saying the he ‘needs’ him.

He implored the people of Bihar to re-elect Nitish Kumar as he ‘needed him’ to ensure the development of the state. He also listed his government’s achievements that have benefited the people of Bihar including ‘Ayushman Bharat’ health insurance scheme.

“Whether it is building houses for the poor or building toilets in every home, getting electricity or water to everyone or connecting everyone to banking network, everything is possible only because of the power of the vote of the people of Bihar”, the Prime Minister said in the letter.

He said he was sure that the people of Bihar will re-elect Nitish Kumar and the “power of the double engine” of his and Nitish’s governments will take Bihar to new heights of development.

In the letter, PM Modi also wrote about the ‘blessing’ NDA is receiving in the election campaign, calling it “the picture of a modern and new Bihar”. He further said that the NDA government is “committed to restoring the glorious past of the state of Bihar” and “people know that only NDA can develop Bihar”.
