Veteran actor Simi Garewal praised Kangana Ranaut for being brave and bold and calling out people of the film industry who misuse their power. In a Twitter thread, Simi revealed that “a ‘powerful’ person” had “viciously tried to destroy” her career.

She said that she was not as brave as Kangana and stayed silent. “I applaud #KanganaRanaut who is braver & bolder than I am. Only I know how a ‘powerful’ person has viciously tried to destroy my career. I stayed silent. Because I am not so brave…”, Simi wrote.

She added that she felt ‘depressed’ after Kangana Ranaut’s interview which focused on what late actor Sushant Singh Rajput had gone through. Kangana had recently come for an interview at a news channel where she called out the rich and powerful of the film industry.

Simi’s Twitter followers were quite appreciative of her post. ”

Simi Ji You are a Veteran & Much Respected & Admired. You should Name & Shame the Powerful person. The TIME IS NOW. #BollywoodMafia needs to be exposed. Please be strong & bold & expose them like #KanganaRanaut is doing #SimiGarewal,” one user replied.

Kangana Ranaut in her interview said that she will return her Padma Shri Award if she could not testify or prove her statements regarding Sushant’s death. She added that she did not deserve an award if she could not support her public statements when time comes.

Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14. The actor’s untimely death has opened up a host of controversies in the country. Several people, including his girlfriend– actor Rhea Chakraborty, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and others have been questioned by the Mumbai Police with regard to his case.
