Prime Minister Narendra Modi begins his
three-day Europe tour on Monday. PM Modi will have a jam-packed schedule. He will visit Germany, Denmark and France
where PM Modi will attend 25 engagements in 65 hours, reported PTI.

PM Modi will hold bilateral and
multilateral meetings with eight world leaders from seven countries. Following
this meeting with world leaders, he will have an interaction with 50 global
business leaders. PM Modi will also address
thousands of members of the Indian community.

PM Modi’s visit came weeks after UK
Prime Minister Boris Johnson and a team of eight European leaders visited India
in the backdrop of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Now his visit to Europe came when
Russia’s onslaught on Ukraine took a pace as Europe launched a protest.

During his Europe tour, Prime Minister
Modi will spend one night each in Germany and Denmark while two nights in
flight. In Paris, Modi will hold talks with French President Emmanuel Macron,
who was reelected in the presidential elections.

In Berlin, he will meet German
Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and the two leaders will co-chair the sixth edition of
the India-Germany Inter-Governmental Consultations (IGC), the Indian foreign
ministry had said in a statement. It will be Modi’s first meeting with
Chancellor Scholz who took charge of the office from his predecessor Angela
Merkel in December last year.

PM Modi will then travel to Copenhagen
to hold a meeting with the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen. He
will also participate in the second India-Nordic Summit being hosted by Denmark.

Prime Minister will attend an
India-Denmark Business Forum and also address members of the Indian diaspora.

PM Modi will also interact with other
Nordic leaders – Prime Minister Katrín Jakobsdóttir of Iceland, Prime Minister
Jonas Gahr Støre of Norway, Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson of Sweden and
Prime Minister Sanna Marin of Finland.

The Summit will focus on subjects like
post-pandemic economic recovery, climate change, innovation and technology,
renewable energy, the evolving global security scenario and India-Nordic
cooperation in the Arctic region. The 1st India Nordic Summit took place in
2018 in Stockholm.
