Giving a sneak peek of the new-generation sedan, Honda Civic 2022 prototype has been officially revealed. Sporting a new Solar Flare Pearl colour, the brand new car features a deck load of design changes and tech upgrades.

In its 11th generation, the Honda Civic boasts a completely new front design on the outside with a more emphatic grille and sleeker LED headlights. However, the sedan will keep hold of few of its signature design language — a low and wide stance, low beltline and clean character lines.

The car will run on a set of black twin-5-spoke alloy 19-inch wheels with low profile tyres.

The new Civic’s cabin will come with a sleek dashboard that features a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and an extended design element that also houses the air-con vents. The Japanese maker has invested ample effort on particularly revamping the cabin.

The cabin will also feature a new multi-functional steering wheel with a revised centre console, central armrest and new upholstery.

Compared to the 10th gen version, the sedan’s rear profile now appears to stand wider and has a larger pair of LED taillights, a new spoiler, and an upgraded dual exhaust tip.

The company has confirmed that the new Civic will be available in four models — a hatchback, executive sedan, performance-oriented Si model, and ultimate-performance R model once it hits the production line.

The current generation model of the Honda Civic was introduced in 2015 and it has completed 5 years in the global market. However, India received it in 2019, so, we can expect to get the new car only sometime in late 2022.
