Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will on Tuesday meet Punjab singer-politician Sidhu Moose Wala’s family in his native village.
On Tuesday morning, the Congress leader reached Chandigarh and met Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Warring.

Along with Warring and Partap Singh Bajwa, the leader of opposition in the state assembly, he headed to the Mansa district.
Gandhi’s visit to Punjab comes just hours after a Congress leader and former Punjab minister – Sadhu Singh Dharamsot – was arrested in a corruption case.

The arrest comes a month after chief minister Bhagwant Mann issued a warning while the Aam Aadmi Party had been attacking the leader earlier too.
Meanwhile, the Congress leader’s visit to Moose Wala’s family home in their native village of the Mansa district will be the first since the 28-year-old rapper died on May 30. He had a huge following not just in India but Canada too.

The killing of Sidhu Moose Wala which took place a day after his security was downgraded – had led to attacks from the Congress on the Punjab government. The Congress has been slamming Mann over the move – labelled as an action against the VIP culture – and seeking an investigation by the central probe agency.
Moose Wala’s family has been raising the same demand.
