Iqbal Ansari, who was one of the litigants in the Ayodhya land dispute case, has received the first invitation for the Ram temple bhoomi pujan to be held on Wednesday. The event will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Ansari believes that Ayodhya’s fate will change with Ram temple’s construction. In an exclusive interview with Opoyi, Ansari said both Hindus and Muslims have been living in Ayodhya peacefully since long while following the ‘Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb’

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, a limited number of people have been invited for the main event in Ayodhya on August 5 and Ansari, 69, is looking forward to attending it. Ansari said it was matter of pride for him to share the stage with PM Modi.

“Will gift the PM a Ramnami stole and a copy of Ramcharitmanas,” Ansari told Opoyi.

Underlining that Ayodhya needs overall development, Ansari hoped that the Ram temple construction will change the fate of his town.

He even had a message for the people of Ayodhya,”I just want to say that people should believe in doing good deeds. Your good deeds will definitely be noticed by the god. At this time of Corona pandemic, one should help each other. Several great people are only known for their splendid deeds”.

A five-judge Supreme Court bench led by the then Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi on November 9, 2019 had ruled that the entire 2.7-acre disputed plot in Ayodhya will be handed over to a trust, formed by the government, for the construction of Ram temple.
