Late actor Sushant Singh rajput’s father, Krishna Kishore Singh, in his affidavit to the Supreme Court on Saturday said that Rhea Chakraborty’s plea of seeking transfer of probe to Mumbai is invalid in the present scenario, reported news agency ANI.
Submitting his reply to the top court, Singh stated, “The investigation in the FIR has already been transferred to CBI and thus Rhea Chakraborty’s plea seeking transfer of probe to Mumbai stands infructuous.”
The affidavit submitted by KK Singh comes after the Supreme Court had directed him, Bihar and Maharashtra to respond within three days to Chakraborty’s plea on Wednesday. The court will further hear the case on August 11.
The Bihar Governement in its reply stated that Rhea’s plea was “premature, misconceived and not maintainable”.
Rhea Chakraborty had moved SC to file a petition which sought the transfer of probe to Mumbai from Patna pertaining to the complaint registered by Sushant’s father with the Bihar Police.
The case, which accuses Rhea Chakraborty of abetting to Sushant’s suicide, is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation after it received a nod from the Centre.
