Indians featured prominently among the wealthiest people in the United Kingdom as per The Sunday Times’ Rich List 2022, which also saw the UK’s number of billionaires swell to a record 177.
Despite thousands in the country struggling with rising prices, the number of billionaires in the UK increased by six in comparison to 2021.
Meanwhile, the combined wealth of UK’s 177 billionaires stood at £653 billion, an increase of more than £55bn (9.4%) from last year’s figure.

While Indian-origin brothers Sri and Gopi Hinduja took the top spot in the list, other prominent business houses also featured in the list.
