Yuvraj Singh, on Wednesday, displayed
a glimpse of his iconic, smash-hit batting style as he scored 49 runs off 20
balls in a match against West Indies Legends in the Road Safety Series, which saw India Legends win by 12
runs. In his fiery innings, Singh hit one boundary and six sixes, as he
proceeded to take apart the West Indies bowling line-up by himself.
Earlier in the match, captain Sachin Tendulkar set
up a platform for the team to build upon as he led the Indian innings with a
65-run knock off 42 balls.

In the 19th over of the match,
Singh hit West Indies’ Mahendra Nagamootoo for four sixers in five balls,
coming close to repeat his six sixes in an over against England’s Stuart Broad
in the 2007 T20 World Cup.
In the last over he hit off West
Indies spinner Suleiman Benn for two more biggies, finishing his innings and
taking India to 218/3.
Batting next, West Indies Legends
built up some tension for themselves in the later years as they required 32
runs in the last three overs.

Indian bowlers capitalised at this
point, with tight deliveries from Manpreet Gony, Vinay Kumar and Irfan Pathan
securing India the win and a berth in the finals.
Sri Lanka Legends will be taking on
South Africa Legends in the second semi-final, set to be played on March 19.
