After four months of being off social media, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan recently took to Instagram to post a promotional video of himself, leaving fans overjoyed.

The actor had been offline ever since his son Aryan Khan was arrested on a drug charge in October.

The actor took to Instagram to share a 1-minute promotional video for LG Electronics. In the video, the actor can be seen sporting his bearded look, along with his voiceover in the background. The video begins with Khan driving a white Rolls-Royce and entering the premises of a lavish house. He is then seen viewing a rollable television set in the house. His wife and interior designer Gauri Khan also makes an appearance towards the end of the video, wearing a dark red dress. The video concludes with the duo watching floating lanterns on television.

The promotional post has garnered over 1 million views and more than 15,000 comments. The post comes as a surprise to his fans, who rushed to the comments section to express their elation. One user wrote, “Welcome back king”. Another user added, “The king is back, finally”.

 Khan last took to Instagram on September 19, 2021, to post a picture of an idol of Ganpati on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. He captioned the post, “May Lord Ganesha’s blessings remain with all of us until we see him again next year… Ganpati Bappa Morya!”

The actor stepped away from social media after the arrest of his 24-year-old son, Aryan Khan. Aryan was arrested in connection with a cruise drug bust by the Narcotics Control Bureau. After spending three weeks in jail, he was released on bail on October 30, 2021.

The actor has been away from the cinematic limelight as well, and was last seen in the 2018 film ‘Zero’. Khan will next be seen in ‘Pathan’, alongside Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. The film is expected to hit theatres in the later half of 2022.
