Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar met Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray at his official residence in Mumbai after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation started demolishing actor Kangana Ranaut’s Mumbai bunglow on Wednesday, reported ANI.

Regarding the demolition, Pawar had earlier told ANI, “I don’t have any information regarding her office. But I read in the newspapers that it was an unauthorised construction. However, unauthorised constructions are not new in Mumbai. If BMC is acting as per rules, then it is right.”

The BMC had listed 14 “violations” at her Mumbai bunglow, which included a toilet which was apparently built in space marked for a kitchen and an office set up in an area meant for a toilet. The Bombay High Court on Wednesday stayed BMC’s demolition and asked the civic body to file reply on actor’s petition.

Earlier, the actor in a video had said, “Uddhav Thackeray, tujhe kya lagta hai? (what do you think?) By colluding with the film mafia, you took revenge by demolishing my home? My home was demolished today, your arrogance will shatter tomorrow.”
