Filmaker Shekhar Kapur on Monday announced that he started prepping up for his upcoming project that will feature Hollywood stars Emma Thompson, Lily James and Shazad Latif.

Kapur, who
is working on his next Hollywood directorial after his 1998 debutant Elizabeth,
took to twitter to share the news of his movie’s production.

 “First rehearsals with the amazing actor Emma
Thompson today. So looking forward to working with her in my next movie.” The director
tweeted.

The
prospective film tentatively titled What’s Love Got to Do with It? is set in London and
South Asia and revolves around tales and complications of love and marriage and be written and
produced by Jemima Khan, reported PTI

No significant details about
the plots are available as of now, the film however is reported to be a diverse
cultural drama.

Shekhar who is presently the President
of the Pune-based Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) is the face behind
the lens of critically acclaimed cinema features like Bandit Queen, Mr. India
and Dil Se.

He made his directorial debut
in 1983 with Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi starrer ‘Masoom.’

Kapur’s next bollywood
venture is going to be the Movie ‘Paani’ which late actor Sushant Singh Rajput
was going to be a part of and has been in news after his sadly demise.

Shekhar in one of his tweet,
confirmed earlier this year that the project will be accomplished  in the memory of
Sushant.

  “If you want to journey with the Gods, or your creativity, you have to walk each step in devotion. In humility. God willing Paani will get made one day. If it does, I will dedicate it to Sushant. But it has to be made with partners that walk in humility, not in arrogance.” he tweeted.
