BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari‘s father and TMC MP Sisir Adhikari will attend Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s election rally in Egra on Sunday, reported ANI. Suvendu’s brother Dibyendu Adhikari, who is also a TMC MP, will be present at the rally as well.

Sisir had earlier said that he will attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Kanthi on March 20, if Suvendu asked him to. He had told ANI, “I will support my son. If they tell me to go to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting, I will definitely go.”

Earlier this month, Sisir had said that no one from the TMC maintains any relation with him, while the ruling party in West Bengal claimed that it is evident where his soul is, reported PTI.

According to Sisir,  functionaries of the TMC have made deplorable comments on him publicly, which even leaders of the Congress or the CPI(M) have never indulged in.

Taking a jibe at the Adhikari family, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Saturday

that she was relieved as “Mir Zafars” (traitors) have quit the party ahead of the upcoming assembly elections.
