Pakistan’s qualification for the semifinals of the T20 World Cup rests on India’s hands. Having lost to India and Zimbabwe, the Babar Azam-led Pakistan are out of the semis race as South Africa won the match against India today in Perth.
As it stands, South Africa are likely to win the match as they chase down an easy total of 133 set by India. Aiden Makaram played a stunning knock scoring 52 off 41 balls taking, along with David Miller who stood on the crease till the last over with a steady half-century off 43 balls, took South Africa to a win.

The India-Pakistan rivalry is so strong that the cricket fans of two countries combined can overpower any cricketing audience in the world. As it turned out, even though the match on Sunday was between India and South Africa, it seemed from the social media reactions as if India and Pakistan were facing each other off.
One Twitter user was quick to point it out.
The eye-catching reaction came from former Pakistan pacer Sohaib Akhtar who was disappointed with India’s batting performance. Akhtar posted a video on Twitter in which he said that India needs to win for Pakistan, but it seems from India’s batting performance that they have come out to kill Pakistan.

Pakistan are set to face South Africa next on Thursday, November 3, at the Sydney Cricket Ground. After that, they will face Bangladesh on Sunday, November 3 at the Adelaide Oval.
However, irrespective of their performance in the two upcoming matches, they are out of the tournament.
