The Tokyo 2020 Paralympics will begin on August 24 and is slated to end on September 5 this year. The Games was supposed to be held last year but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This edition of the Paralympics will walk in the footsteps of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, banning audiences to curb the spread of the deadly infection.
For India, a total of 54 athletes will be participating in the 2020 Paralympics, across nine sports. The Tokyo edition will see events that will be introduced for the first time. Badminton and Taekwondo will make their debut.
