Users flocked to micro-blogging site Twitter by the thousands to report a mass server outage on Facebook-owned social media platforms WhatsApp and Instagram.

According to Down Detector, users have been complaining of having problems with photo-sharing platform Instagram since 10:59 pm IST and with messaging platform WhatsApp since 11:00 pm IST. 

The blackout detecting website also reported some users reporting problems with Facebook as well, since 11:03 pm IST.

Meanwhile, users have also reported issues with network providers like Airtel, since 11:10 pm IST, and Jio, since 11:11 pm IST. 

Facebook has so far not commented on the issue.
