As Vamika turns one year old today, internet users have sent birthday wishes to her parents, cricket icon Virat Kohli and Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma. Anushka’s brother Karnesh Sharma also took to Instagram to share a collage of his 1-year-old niece. “Happy growing up kiddo, lots more memories to the best parents,” Karnesh wrote on his Instagram story.

While the celebrity couple continue to be in the limelight, they refrain from sharing pictures of their daughter. Often posting mere glimpses of their one-year-old, the couple chooses to keep Vamika’s identity private. Last year, the duo had requested the paparazzi to not photograph their daughter. The joint statement read, “As parents, we have a simple request to make to you. We want to protect the privacy of our child and we need your help and support. While we will always ensure that you get all the content you need featuring us, we would request you to kindly not take or carry any content that has our child.”

Just last night, the 33-year-old Bollywood actor had uploaded a picture with Kohli on Instagram with the caption, “Who goes to bed at 9:30?” with an emoji of a couple, perhaps suggesting that the duo are early sleepers.

 The celebrity couple completed four years of marriage last month and had acknowledged the milestone with a lengthy caption and a family picture on Instagram. They had tied the knot on December 11, 2017, in an intimate ceremony in Italy. The couple often posts pictures with each other on social media.

Last year, Anushka had shared the first glimpse of her daughter by posting a family picture of the trio on her Instagram handle. The picture had amassed more than 7 million likes and over 65,000 comments by users who were elated by the  announcement of the birth.
